We have worked very hard to keep the price of this procedure down and are pleased to be able to offer one of the lowest prices in the country. Our price represents a significant discount compared to what most insurance companies pay (>30%). Additionally, we now offer free lap-band adjustments for 90 days following your surgery. Many of our patients elect to finance their operation and we can refer you to several different health-care financing firms if you prefer. Our surgeons perform this operation daily and are happy to be able to provide this affordable service in a safe environment.
The Lap-Band is an exceptionally safe procedure that requires only a short hospital stay and carries a very low complication rate. We perform this procedure every day and have an excellent success rate. The $10,700 price includes a private 30 minute pre-operative consultation with the surgeon, the overnight hospital stay, the surgeon's fee, a nutrition consult, the anesthesia fee and 90 days of follow-up care, including band adjustments. The only additional cost is for the pain medication after the surgery! There are no hidden costs.
For your pre-operative visit, if you have insurance, we will accept it (if you need a referral from your primary care doctor, you must get one beforehand). If your insurance will not cover the cost of the office visit, the self-pay price is $250, which can be applied to the cost of the surgery if you proceed. So, the average cost would be:
$250 for the pre-operative visit
$10,450 for the surgery ($10,700 minus the $250 from the pre-op visit)
